ExpoHealthNet Cluster Meeting 2025
Last week, our MARKOPOLO team had the pleasure of joining the very first ExpoHealthNet Cluster Meeting in Barcelona!
We connected with our six EUFunded sister projects – EXPOSIM, ClimAIr Project, ENVESOME | Horizon Europe Project, ENACT Project HE, ExpoSignalz, and UPRISE – to exchange ideas, foster collaboration, and strengthen our shared mission to advance health research across Europe.
The cluster ExpoHealthNet brings together researchers investigating the impact of pollution on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) to help us find synergies and increase the overall impact of the projects’ research.
What exactly happened at the meeting?
Each of the seven projects showcased their research vision and objectives.
Insights from the European Commission and European Environment Agency on current policies, legislation, and the role of research in shaping evidence-based policy.
➡️ Updates from the three working groups:
• WG1: Science Translation for Policy and Practice
• WG2: Data Analysis/Management and Protection
• WG3: Communication and Dissemination
An interactive “speed dating” session where projects identified synergies and future opportunities for joint work.
We are looking forward to building on this momentum and working together to strengthen the research on pollution and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) across Europe!
